Summer Movie on the Lawn – Buzz on over to the Community Center on Saturday, July 12th for the feature presentation of Bee Movie. There will be free popcorn as well as a concession stand with candy, soda and juice available for purchase. The movie will begin at dusk.

Sizzln’ Summer Concert next Thursday – The outdoor summer concerts continues with more live music! Please gather with your neighbors at the Brambleton Town Center Plaza from 7 – 9pm for Doug Segree. A singer/songwriter out of Annapolis, MD, Doug speaks to his audience through acoustic guitars and spirited vocals. BYOB is permitted (includes wine and beer only, not hard liquor). All patrons consuming alcohol must be of legal drinking age and must have a wristband (to be provided by HOA staff). All coolers are subject to inspection. For the duration of the concert, the Welcome Center bathrooms will be accessible.

Dog Obedience Classes in Brambleton – Puppy obedience training and basic dog obedience training will be available to Brambleton residents on Saturday mornings starting July 26th (Puppy Obedience Training, 8 – 9am, $90; Basic Dog Obedience, 9 – 10am, $90) The basic dog obedience class is open to owners of adult dogs (over six months of age) that have had little or no prior training. Classes run one hour weekly for seven (7) consecutive weeks and meets at the Brambleton Community Center back parking lot. Classes address basic training in heeling, sitting on command, down on command, stay command and recall (come) command. Course also addresses behavior problems and introduces drills relating to situational training. The instructor, Kevin Kealy, is the retired Police K-9 instructor for the Ocean City, MD Police Department and has overseen the Police K-9 training for 31 law enforcement agencies in MD, DE and VA. He has also spent two years as the Country K-9 trainer in Iraq supplying K-9 teams to the U.S. Army. Playing By the Rules The Declaration for Brambleton requires that each individual maintain their property in good order, condition and repair including all necessary grounds maintenance. The Property Maintenance Standards provide detail on these requirements. Please note that trimming and edging should be performed around landscaping and tree beds, fences and sidewalks as these areas should be maintained at the same height as the surrounding turf to create an attractive appearance for the property.

New Dulles South Multipurpose Center – The grand opening of the Dulles South Multipurpose Center is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2008. Festivities include a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours, refreshments, games, old-fashioned snow cone and cotton candy machines, and giant inflatables.
