national-cherry-blossom-festival-donation1For future event and travel planning, please note that the National Cherry Bloom Festival Organization has pre-released the following information about the upcoming annual Spring festival bud events:

The 2009 Festival will be March 28 – April 12, 2009; the Parade will be on Saturday, April 4, so as not to conflict with Easter weekend.

The 2010 Festival will be March 27 – April 11, 2010; with the Parade on Saturday, April 10.

The 2011 Festival will be March 26 – April 10, 2011; with the Parade on Saturday, April 9.

The 2012 Festival (100th Anniversary of the Gift of Trees) will be March 31 – April 15; with the Parade on Saturday, April 14.

Brambleton Teens Present Theater Version of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at Briar Woods High School

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – The Briar Woods High School drama department will be performing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on March 26 – 28 and April 3, at 7:00 p.m. as well as April 4 at 3:00 p.m.  The cost is $7.00 for an adult and $5.00 for a student.  Pre-sales will be held on March 19, 20, 26, and 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the front lobby of the school.  The Drama Department will also be selling Wonka Bars for $2.00 with a chance to win a golden ticket and two admissions to the show.

Become a Pilot Family Day and Aviation Display June 20, 2009

This annual airport visit and Pilot day event is held every June at the Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA near Washington Dulles International Airport.
